Be You: Developing & Defining Your Personal Style

‘What would you say your style is?’ In a generation where the rules of fashion have extended beyond the traditional into one of exciting new possibilities and diverse expression, now more than ever we have the chance to truly embrace who we are and reflect on the outside what is on the inside. Over the years fashion has become not only as a means to comfort, but a platform to showcase one’s unique personality; be it on the classy, glamorous, elegant, preppy side or on the urban, afrocentric, bold or bohemian side as the list continues on. Though every person has one or two main dominant styles, there are endless opportunities to mix and match in between.
Classic/Minimalist/Preppy
The classic style works for ladies who prefer to stick to pieces that have been tried and tested, standing the test of time. They usually have simple silhouettes and common color palettes that work well together. The minimalist look on the other hand features a more toned down approach, sharp and smart, whilst the preppy; a more sportier, comfortable look.

Elegant/Glamor/Traditional

In the realm of more traditional feminine styles, we have the elegant look that is characterized by soft hues and a refined, pulled together look whilst the glamorous side of things goes one step further seeking out the subtle wow factor!  There are also men’s traditional and classic styles, creating the same eye turning effect.

I really enjoyed this post. I think of myself as a mix I try to do different things based on how I want to look that day. But the pictures gave me great ideas.
